A British man accused of smuggling hashish into Bali has appeared carrying a masks at a TV press convention.

Zaid Thanoon, a photographer from Sheffield, was put in entrance of cameras with one other man on Wednesday.

He was arrested on 12 July, suspected of carrying three-and-a-half grams of hashish into Indonesia.

A second man who appeared, Victor Ortegarocha, from Chile, was allegedly caught with three grams of hashish the next day.

Each males appeared earlier than native media on the customs workplace close to Ngurah Rai airport on Bali.

Stories say the 26-year-old was arrested after he arrived from Thailand.

His Instagram web page confirmed he had beforehand been travelling in China, Mongolia and Hong Kong.
