A rider on the Ulster Grand Prix is combating for his life in hospital after a severe incident through the opening race on Saturday.

Two riders had been concerned within the incident.

The French rider Fabrice Miguet is in a vital situation in hospital following the Superstock crash.

English competitor Davey Todd has been taken to hospital with suspected fractures.

Organisers haven’t launched particulars of the incident. It occurred on the Joey’s Windmill part of the monitor through the first race on Saturday, the Lisburn and Castlereagh Council Superstock Race.

The race was purple flagged after the fourth lap on the Dundrod circuit with Dean Harrison declared the winner.
