Man dies after Abingdon ambulance and mobility scooter crash (News)

A mobility scooter rider who was concerned in a crash with an ambulance has died.

The 64-year-old man was injured in Stratton Approach on the junction of Tub Avenue, in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, at about 15:30 BST on Friday.

He was left in a life-threatening situation and died the subsequent day.

South Central Ambulance Service handed on its “honest condolences” to his household. Police have issued an enchantment for witnesses to come back ahead.

Officers have appealed for man driving a blue Vauxhall Vivaro panel van and a girl with lengthy blonde hair who was a passenger to contact them.

In addition they requested for folks in a white panel van to get in contact.

Senior investigating officer Richard Thorpe mentioned: “Each of those autos had been overtaken by the ambulance previous to the collision and each autos stopped to supply help to the injured man.”
