Retail gross sales see slide in October (News)

Retail gross sales fell 0.5% in October, lacking economists’ expectations of a 0.2% rise by a large margin.

Gross sales at family items shops slipped 3% following a very robust August and September, the Workplace for Nationwide Statistics mentioned.

For the three months to October, retail gross sales rose 0.4% – a substantial slowdown from the two.3% enhance recorded for the three months to July.

On-line now accounts for 18% of all gross sales, up from 17.7% in September.
